Job Title: Facilities CaretakerDuration: Full time/ Part time TemporarySalary: GBP10-GBP13 per hourLocation: Nottingham
REED Further Education are looking for facilities caretaker professionals for a further education college in the Nottingham area. The ideal candidate will have previous cleaning, caretaking, porterage and general maintenance duties experiences.
General Duties
- Responsible for safety, security and cleanliness of college sites.
- Controlling access to the premises, maintaining security and reporting incidents, such as vandalism.
- Reporting items needing repair, carrying out basic repairs (such as replacing broken window panes or fixing leaking taps), arranging for outside contractors to do more complicated repairs.
- Maintaining the school's grounds, or supervising staff carrying out this work.
- Dealing with lettings in the evenings and at weekends.
Person Specification
- Level 2 Maths and English.
- Previous experience of general caretaking and/or maintenance activities.
- Good communication skills.
- Proactive, flexible and ability to work in a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety issues.
- Computer literacy.
