Assistant Management Accountant - Part Qualified Accountant - Solihull - Salary To GBP35,000 Plus Bonus & Benefits Package - Hybrid working (2 Days Office - 3 Days from home) - Study Support Provided
This hugely successful Financial Services corporate in Solihull provides mortgages to tens of thousands of customers across the UK. Through ongoing growth, the company is now seeking a motivated, part-qualified Assistant Management Accountant to support the Finance Manager with delivering the full range of operational requirements of their busy Finance department.
Offering varied and responsible duties, the Assistant Management Accountant role includes providing support for the processing of mortgage account management processes, sale of loans to funder, payments, purchase ledger and cash management.
With an induction designed to get you up to speed on the role, internal processes and procedures, the Assistant Management Accountant will take ownership of the accuracy and completeness of the relevant accounting entries and transactions within the nominal ledger. The Assistant Management Accountant will also support the production of all associated monthly management information and undertake process & controls reviews.

Responsibilities Include:
- Processing end to end mortgage origination and service processes
- Completing transfers of loans to the Funding team
- Supporting the loan cashflows with the funder, including redemptions, optional payments, income payments and fees
- Performing key daily & monthly controls and reconciliations
- Undertaking processes and controls reviews
- Supporting key internal projects
- Preparing internal & external MI reporting to often fixed deadlines
- Assisting in compliance audits, ensuring key documentation is complete & available for review
- Part-qualified Accountant - ideally only a few papers away from full qualification - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent (Study support will be provided)
- Good understanding of Financial Concepts
- Experience within Financial Services is not needed but a minimum of 2 years' experience within a mid to large company Accounting/Finance environment is required
- IT literate ideally including MS Office - Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc
- Enjoys working effectively as part of a team and comfortable taking ownership
- Experience of process development/improvement would be ideal
