Our Confidential Conversations service brings our counselling expertise into workplaces across the public, private and third sectors, and to further and higher education establishments. It s a vital service helping professionals and students to strengthen and manage their wellbeing and mental health.
As the head of the therapeutic team, you ll offer guidance and direction that creates an environment for colleagues to thrive and the service to grow. It s primarily a management position, but you ll maintain a small caseload to keep your skills fresh, as well as acting as the escalation point for any clinical issues.
Just as you ll ensure that your teams have mentoring and development support, we ll do the same for you, with extensive training and ongoing support. It s a chance not only to develop your leadership experience, but also to help us develop the service and reach more people.
It s a role that requires experience - of clinical supervision, of managing teams, of allocating and managing referrals and supporting general adult mental health. Like any great counsellor, you should also bring strong communication skills and real empathy to the role, while it s important you share our dedication to continued professional development.
At CrossReach, even though we re one of Scotland s largest voluntary social care charities - with a 1,600-strong team working across 60 services around the country - we genuinely value the individual. For our clients or services users, that means being treated with respect and care, regardless of the circumstances. For professionals like you, it means being part of a genuinely caring environment where you can contribute ideas, have your needs recognised and help shape your role around your ambitions.
In exchange, as well as a competitive salary, you ll have a generous pension, health benefits, paid holiday and a range of leisure discounts. So, if you re looking for a supportive career, we re looking for you.
What s more, you will be part of one of Scotland s largest voluntary social work organisations. At CrossReach, we offer quality care and counselling to a wide range of people in need. But the real story of CrossReach is the work that our staff do: reaching out and making a real difference to the lives of others. If you d like to join them, we look forward to hearing from you.
