A primary SEND school situated in Coventry are looking to recruit multiple care assistants who are looking for an opportunity to transition into Teaching Assistants on a permanent basis from September 2022. These roles are due to start in September on a permanent basis. Due to the specific needs of the pupils, the care assistant should have an understanding of how to support people with additional needs.
The available positions will involve working directly with pupils who have Autism and additional needs, so applicants who have experience of: operating a hoist, training in moving and handling and significant experience working with children or adults who have additional and complex needs would be favourable.
The ideal care assistant for this Teaching assistant position will have:
Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity
Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector
Experience working within a school environment (desirable)
Moving and handling training and experience operating a hoist (desirable)
Located just outside of Coventry city centre, this school is easily accessible by both car and public transport.
