Property Financial Accountant - ACA
Based in Luton, Bedfordshire our prestigious leisure client is looking for a qualified accountant to join their finance team as Property Financial Accountant - ACA on a permanent basis.
This job would suit an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant to be responsible for managing the financial reporting, accounting and control for the Fixed Assets and Projects team and work with the wider Accounting & Controls team to develop a best in class financial and reporting capability.

The successful individual will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with broad accounting knowledge including period close, financial planning and reporting, and ability to talk through ideas & assess wider impacts. They will have all rounded technical skills with expertise across a range of accounting and financial areas, including the design and production of financial reports. To be considered for this role you will need to have good analytical skills and ability to identify core issues and provide assessments grounded in logic.
This role pays a competitive salary, up to 30% bonus, share save scheme, pension matched up to 10% and a hybrid working environment.
Job responsibilities:
Both accurate and efficient accounting and reporting of Fixed Assets.
Financial reporting - ensuring the integrity and full statutory compliance of financial statements externally and providing high quality first line reporting internally
Financial control- ensuring that the controls are designed and operated effectively through the control framework (FCF) and that processes are documented and risk and control matrices are developed.
The accounting services include all associated balance sheet reconciliations and in line with group accounting policies. In addition to initiate, lead and assist on relevant project/analytical work throughout the year as required. Ensuring risks and opportunities are identified and flagged as appropriate.
Relationship management with external auditors and to ensure full compliance with best practice
To liaise with external audit to deliver a clean audit for fixed assets.
Lead the utilisation of the Oracle Fusion system to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and their processes.

Process review and improvements to deliver and effective and efficient accounting service
To manage and develop the team, identify talent and create an environment of continuous improvement
Deputise for the Senior FM as necessary and fully participate in the wider Financial Control agenda
