Adaero Precision Components, based in the bustling market town of Crediton since 1988, is seeking an engineer to design, test, monitor and maintain the CNC code that programs machines to produce components.
This hands-on role involves testing programs on production machines, actively supporting machine setters to ensure parts continue to be produced efficiently and to specification.
As a CAD/CAM engineer, you will:
- Develop CNC operations for new products, meeting the specifications of customer drawings.
- Simulate manufacture to optimise setup and cycle times and, therefore, minimise costs.
- Design quality criteria into machining processes, so that parts are reliably produced to specification.
- Work in collaboration with other Engineers, machine Setters and Operators.
- Support Setters and Operators as and when required.
- Prove-out the programs you develop by setting and running relevant machining operations.
- Liaise with customers' design teams.
- Maintain a focus on quality while achieving reliable and efficient machine cycle-times.
- Support manufacturing as and when required.
- Respond to customer enquiries.
- Develop engineering solutions to manufacture customer parts.
- Be responsible for continuous improvement of machining efficiency.
