Our clients, who are industry specialists in their field are looking to expand their team with an experienced Proof reader with editing experience.

It's a great time to joint the business as they continue to seek new countries and content to include in their service and the Editor will need to show initiative in finding official sources of relevant information and obtaining copyright approval. This will involve extensive internet research, lateral thinking and liaison with government officials and translators.

Duties include

• Proof-reading in-house documents against original source documents
• Editing to ensure accuracy, readability and consistency with the company house style
• Identifying relevant regulatory information and updates from government publications and researching additional sources of information.

Skills / Experience

• Methodical and accurate in your work with proven proofreading and editing experience
• Have an excellent command of the English language
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail
• Research skills
• Ability to concentrate for long periods
• Ability to manage own workload
• Computer and internet experience
• Office experience

A second Language would be desirable but not necessary.

Starting salary

Circa GBP21,000 pa

Working hours

8:00 to 16:30 or 8:30 to 17:00 with a 45 minute lunch break - Monday to Friday

15:15 early leave 1 day a week
