Salary: GBP13000 per annum plus benefits & 25 days annual leave
Apprenticeship Qualification: L3 Business Administrator Standard
Expected Apprenticeship Duration: Up to 18 months

We, at Serco, are looking to recruit an Apprentice Business Administrator to support the Lincolnshire County Council Customer Service Centre's Information and Engagement team, by providing an effective and efficient business and administrative support

Your key accountabilities
The role will see you developing professional relationships with colleagues eager to share their knowledge, helping you to grow within a friendly team. As part of the role, you will be responsible for general office and administrative support, preparing and attending meetings. Other key duties include supporting with computer and manual filing systems, supporting with all aspects of planning and administration to deliver training. You will engage with stakeholders and support with admin of appropriate activities. As well as provide support with production of templates, updating communications, staff briefings and meetings. You will also provide ad hoc administration duties such as filing and correspondence when required. As you gain more experience, your role will become more challenging and varied with more autonomy to take on tasks.

We are keen to speak to candidates who are team players but do not shy away from working on their own initiative, taking responsibility for their own workload ensuring tasks are prioritised effectively; with the ability to work to strict deadlines whilst achieving a high level of accuracy.
Liaising with colleagues and internal customers at different levels is a vital part of this role, therefore, interpersonal skills along with customer care skills with the ability to adapt communication style are highly desirable.
Good administrative skills and an eye for attention to detail with a working knowledge MS Office (including Word, Outlook, and Excel) and a basic understanding of procedures along with the willingness to learn to use different systems are key to be successful in this role.
The ideal candidate will have GCSE'S grades A* to C (or 9 to 4 in the new grading system) in Maths and English or the acceptable equivalent.
It is essential that you are able to travel daily to Lincoln to arrive on time for work. (Subject to Covid-19 social distancing arrangements).
