We're seeking a Bookkeeper for our client, a well-known and established manufacturing company based in Milton Keynes. This is a mainly office-based role but allows for working from home on Fridays.

As Bookkeeper, you'll have good knowledge of prepayments, accruals and depreciation along with experience with Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Processing payments, invoices, income and receipts and entering data into accounting software or databases then filing hard copies
Preparing financial statements showing business income and expenditure
Paying vendor invoices and tracking bank account balances
Completing VAT returns
Verifying the accuracy of business accounts
Recording any inconsistencies to help reconcile inaccuracies
Developing monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
Managing employee expense claims
Reconcile the monthly Credit Card statement
Organising annual stock count
Preparing yearly budgets/accounts
Liaising with auditors
Liaising with Head Quarters control department at month end
Administrative tasks Hours

37.5 hours working any time between 7am - 6pm, Monday to Thursday in the office with the potential to work from home on a Friday.
