We ll cover this during the assessment process.What you will be doingAs an Asset Integration Engineer, you will be working across the Thames Valley area with flexible locations, to deliver the successful and seamless integration of assets throughout the whole delivery process; safeguarding any site, process, regulatory and statutory requirements and ensuring changes required to operate the new plant as Business as Usual are effectively managed while maximising benefits to Thames Water.You ll be accountable for the verification and approval of project plans including Project Delivery, Commissioning and test plans and identifying risks and issues, and working with stakeholders to resolve them.Thames Water has a Zero Compromise approach to Health, Safety, Wellbeing, and the Environment, and you ll work collaboratively to aid the wellbeing of team members and colleagues and actively promote the Thames Water Three Zeros culture associated with our health and safety performance. These are, Zero Incidents, Zero Harm & Zero Compromise. Key accountabilities include:
  • Monitoring compliance with environmental requirements in asset design, delivery, and testing, monitoring delivery performance, and working with contractors to address issues and improve
  • Ensuring project objectives are clear and agreed by all stakeholders
  • Assisting with contractor and Operations liaison during the design process
  • Assisting key design reviews (Solutions review/Challenge Workshop, HAZOP, HAZCOM, SWIFT)
  • Monitoring and reporting on commissioning progress, ensuring issues are raised with and addressed by the deliverer
  • Liaising with Operations and contractors to agree on duties and ownership during the Take Over process
  • Monitoring and approving Take Over testing and reporting and agree post Take Over works
  • Liaising with Operations and contractors to manage the defects process and arrange Performance Testing
We re looking for you to:
  • Be qualified in NEBOSH or IOSH General or Construction Certificate or SMSTS or willing to gain
  • Be knowledgeable in the processes used in water and/or wastewater as appropriate
  • Understand the development of design, construction, and operation of infrastructure or non-infrastructure projects
  • Be self-starting, resilient, and tenacious under pressure, with a desire to successfully deliver projects to time, cost, and quality
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, to clearly interact with our stakeholders and contractors
  • Possess excellent organisation and workload management skills
  • Deliver an exceptional service through a passionate and positive approach, taking accountability for your role while working accurately and flexibly within a busy team
  • Foster a positive Health & Safety culture within the team and contractors, ensuring we fulfill environmental and Health & Safety statutory obligations
  • Have a full driving licence as travel will be required to construction and operational sites across the Thames Water catchment area
