Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Northampton - GBP40-50k
You will be working for one of the UK's number one residential surveyor and the largest provider of property risk expertise and residential surveying services.
They are apart of the LSL Property Services PLC Group, which includes household names Your Move and Reeds Rains, as well as the mortgage network PRIMIS. We work with lenders, intermediaries, social housing entities and estate agents in addition to private customers.
As a senior member of the IT Infrastructure team this role will be crucial in operating and implementing new IT Infrastructure services.
You will provide 3rd line Infrastructure Support for email, server, storage and network environments.
To sustain, improve, and roll out new Infrastructure services, ensuring security is always vital.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Design, plan and implement IT infrastructure essential services as part of the Foundation roadmap, or ad-hoc projects
Critical decision in approval of Cloud technologies, playing a role in migrating service to Microsoft Azure
Give 3rd line support of the server, storage, and network infrastructure
Give 3rd line support of infrastructure application services and tools such as Active Directory, File & Print services, Exchange, and Firewall
Work with the 2nd line team to create a positive trajectory path
Actively look for opportunities to develop services to be more successful
Maintain a day to day relationship with technical partners in the management of IT services
Ensure supported services are kept up to date, protected, and have an end of life cycle plan
To resolve problems and handle problem management for the appropriate technical fields.
Be apart of the expansion and application of a process of Constant Service Improvement.
To play an active role in recognizing progress opportunities, taking ownership of implementation, and ensuring that these are communicated to the Service Desk Team leader and IT Management team.
Operate within the processes, policies and standards of information security management systems
Follow all operating practices of the IT Service Desk specifically and the IT department generally.
