ICT Technician
This technical support role will have a primary focus on supporting ICT services across a highly successful and growing Engineering business. This is a proactive and technical role providing support for both hardware and software for all users across multiple sites and countries.
Responsibilities
The ICT Technician is responsible for acting as the first and second line of support to all staff across the business and aiding them with any technical queries for hardware, software and communications.
Provide technical support to all employees ensuring all incidents are recorded accurately and assigned priority
Set up equipment such as laptops, PCs, mobile devices and other specialist IT equipment ensuring all systems are ready for use and operating correctly
Troubleshoot issues
Ensure that all systems are operating correctly across the business
Identify any IT projects and work with stakeholders across the business to ensure successful implementation
UK server maintenance
Identification and implementation of group wide policies and specifications to ensure consistency
Manage external contracts including phone lines, broadband and mobiles
The role may also allow for opportunities to be involved in CAD drawings, supporting with website maintenance and integrations with various systems
Personal Specification
A passion for technology and an ability to implement successful procedures across a global group is essential for this role and the successful ICT Technician will be able to demonstrate the skills and aptitude to succeed within this position.
Key Requirements:
An IT/ICT qualification
Experience gained within an in house ICT team would be advantageous
Knowledge of the following would be highly advantageous
Microsoft Office 365
Cisco Server/Firewall
Sage 50
ERP/MRP systems
Avast antivirus
Excellent communication skills are essential with the ability to speak at all levels
An enthusiastic approach and positive attitude towards work
Excellent problem-solving skills
