My client is based in the LE5 area of Leicester
They are now seeking an FLT Production Support Operative to join them on a 12 week temporary leading to permanent basis
08:30 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a daily 30 Minute lunch break
The Role
The Warehouse Operative will work with the Material Planning & Logistics team to support and ensure the effective day to day running of the department.
Experience & Requirements
Main duties include:
Move & store material safely around the facility
Preparation of pallets to be shipped to our customers
Loading & unloading of vehicles
Safe operation of mechanical handling equipment such as Forklifts & Powered Pallet trucks
Manual handling, including the physical movement of goods via mechanical handling equipment
Sort Material with Pick Notes & Job Cards
General Administration
Maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse - front car park & rear storage yards
The waste management of our Bi-product Nylon Swarf
Other duties as and when required
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
Have at least one years experience in a similar role within an Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
Have a full UK driving and Counterbalance Forklift Licence - Powered Pallet truck minimum. And must be prepared to travel across our Leicester Sites.
Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
To have effective written and oral communication skills. Attention to detail is essential
Proven ability to work well with others, be self-motivated, multi-task and prioritize daily and work well under pressure.
Exposure to an ERP system would be helpful but not essential
Be flexible and responsive in support of the business needs
