The Impact you will have:

To support and develop the SQL Data Warehouse for the full project life cycle as part of an agile Business Intelligence team. To be a champion for data at the heart of the business and an evangelist for the benefits of data driven decision making enabling business success. ETL design and development from API and other sources, working within a hybrid azure environment. Ensuring data quality, adherence to development standards and governance processes, timely delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

Day-to-day activities include:

SQL Data Warehouse design and development with hybrid Kimball model, single customer view.
Ensure data quality and adherence to development standards and governance processes.
Support BAU processes including D365 exports, daily loads and Service desk tickets
Produce quality; technical documentation, diagrams, test plans
Participate in scrum ceremonies; Backlog grooming, daily scrum, sprint planning, retrospectives and review
Continuous learning for self-improvement and business performance
Ensure all duties carried out and actions completed in every aspect of your role, contribute to the short and long-term Sustainability Goals set-forth by the ELEMIS - Climate, Biodiversity & People Pillars

The skills you have:

Degree Level Education in a numerate subject
Microsoft or relevant BI Certifications advantageous
Previous experience of the full BI Lifecycle from requirements gathering through design, development, data warehouse deployment to reporting and on-going maintenance and performance analysis and tuning.
Proven SQL/BI Development skills including T-SQL and Query Optimisation.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft BI stack (SSMS, SSIS, SSRS, SSAS)
Excellent skills in performance and query tuning, with own development and legacy systems.
Experience developing front end reports in an application such as PowerBI (Advantageous)
Experience working with a source control application such as Team Foundation Server (Desirable)
Understanding of BI Data Warehouse methodologies (Kimball, Data Vault) (Advantageous)
Experience of cloud technologies i.e Azure, AWS (Desirable)
Experience with ERP Systems in particular Microsoft Dynamics 365 - (Desirable)
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, with ability to explain technical concepts in clear simple terms.
Strong team player who is highly self-motivated and enjoys a dynamic environment.
