Assistant Accountant
Tyne and Wear
GBP24,000 - GBP25,000 per annum
To support our growing business, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our busy accounts department within our Gateshead office based at Team Valley.
As an Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:
Producing Sales invoices for all divisions of the group
Coding and processing Purchase invoices
Dispute management
Client contact & Reconciliations
Credit Control
Bank posting & reconciliations
Banking of receipts
Sage payments
Journal processing
P11D processing
Vat Returns
Monthly payroll
Petty cash
Accruals and prepayments
Database maintenance using Excel
Other ad hoc duties to assist the accounts department
The successful candidates will have:
Previous experience in a similar role
Experience of Sage 50 accounts and Sage Payroll
Excellent organisational skills
Excellent communication and numeracy skills
High attention to detail
Experience of working with Microsoft Office, in particular Microsoft Excel
The ability to work individually as well as part of a wider team
A can do attitude with a proactive approach
Ability to work well under pressure
