We have a new opportunity available for a Residential Property Legal Secretary, based in Chelmsford, offering a salary up to GBP27'000 plus benefits.

This is a permanent, full time job opportunity, you will work 37.5 hours per week over Monday to Friday. Working for a top 100 UK law firm with a rich heritage of 150 years.
As the Residential Property Legal Secretary / Assistant, you will be joining a friendly team. This is an exciting role where you will work as part of a busy and rapidly growing Residential Property department. Your duties will include updating clients and agents regularly and provide email and phone cover when the team leader is not available. You will also draft contract packs and ad hoc letters, plus prepare files for completion and attending to post-completion matters through to file closure. In this role you will use initiative when responding to queries and actively try to seek solutions to problems and build working relationships with the team leader and wider team members. Other duties will include processing all forms including client questionnaires and money laundering forms. Assisting in maintaining compliant and accurate file management and office systems and proof-reading all work, checking for spelling and grammar. Preparing report bundles both electronically and manually. Preparing completion statements and accounts forms and scheduling and managing deeds to ensure records are kept up to date. You will also use the HMRC and HMLR portals for submitting Stamp Duty Land Tax returns and HM Land Registry applications.
To be considered for this opportunity you will need???
Previous experience working as a Legal Secretary / Legal Assistant.
Experience working within Residential or Commercial Property.
Confident to use Word and Email, with competent typing skills around 55 words per minute.
To be a friendly and approachable team player.
To have a positive and professional approach.
Able to communicate with a wide variety of different people from first time buyers to multi-million-pound investor clients, buying and selling agents and mortgage brokers.
Attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
Work efficiently and effectively under pressure and to deadlines
