Solar Design / Commissioning Engineer

Graduate Design Engineer Hybrid Working - 50% Home 50% OfficeWe are a leading provider of renewable solar PV technologies, helping homeowners as well as businesses throughout the United Kingdom to discover the benefits of a cleaner, greener energy. The Designer is responsible for designing Solar PV ground mount and roof top Projects. The position requires the designer to have knowledge of civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering, in addition to sustainability and renewables concepts. Previous experience of working in a solar or electrical environment would be an advantage, but not essential to be successful in this role. The ability to be detail oriented as well as see the bigger picture is a must, and the ideal candidate will be able to manage a large volume of projects, while demonstrating excellent individual and team communication skills.Duties Include: - Design of domestic rooftops - Optimise PV system size to meet customer goals based on utility usage and charges - Working on projects from 1KW to 5MW - Coordinate with structural engineers and other professionals to obtain relevant approvals - File all electronic and project documents appropriately - (SharePoint) - Work cross functionally with project management, materials and installation teams to ensure clients' needs and internal deadlines are met. Key Competencies: - Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Office and AutoCAD - Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently - Excellent written and verbal communication skills required This is a Full time permanent role
