Production Technician
Pertemps Exeter are working with a manufacturing company of high repute. They are finding the need for their products is increasing in line with the changing climates around the word. The technology they use enables their clients to operate in some of the world's most extreme environments.
Due to continued growth in sales and repeat business they are seeking a Production Technician to work with the engineering and operational teams to support the transition of engineering design to production.
As the Production Technician your will main responsibilities will be as follows:
Working with Sample Builder to create a methodology of production from an engineering design
Inputting into PFMEA's and control plans
Supporting the Design & Development Team with progressing new designs into production
Supporting the Test Engineer with testing of new designs
Creating and maintaining production test equipment
First point of contact for production change requests
Assisting the production management team to solve manufacturing issues in a timely mannerTo be considered for this Production Technician position you will need to the following attributes/skills:
Educated to AS/A level or equivalent in appropriate subjects e.g. maths, physics, chemistry and/or excellent technical GCSEs e.g. Maths, English, Computer Science, Electronics, Engineering, Design & Technology, ICT, Physics, Chemistry
C/C++ software coding and PIC/microcontroller experience desirable
Basic 3D CAD (Solidworks preferably) experience desirable
A good understanding of battery pack development and/or battery cell design and manufacture
Ability to interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
Ability to deliver rapid, commercially focused results, with excellent problem solving skills
Building electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies
Writing and supporting PFMEAs and control plans
A high level of attention to detail with previous experience of record-keeping for quality purposes and traceabilityThis role offers the opportunity to join a very good company at an important time in their growth and comes with the following salary & benefits:
Salary circa GBP23k - GBP28k per annum (depending on experience)
Discretionary Bonus
25 days holiday
Pension - 5% employee, 4% employer
1 month notice period after probationary period (PB is 3 months)
