At The Manchester College we have an exciting opportunity to join our new and evolving T-Level Health and Science department as a T-Level and Transition Health Tutor at our Centre of Excellence for Health and Social Care at the Openshaw campus.

What the role entails

As a T-Level Health Tutor you will develop your passion for healthcare and education, playing a pivotal role in the continued development and delivery of the innovative T-Level Health qualifications. You will contribute to aspiring teaching, learning and assessment, providing a secure and friendly environment for your students to succeed. You will also be involved in our Level 2 Transition to Health, a one-year post-GCSE course designed to give students the relevant knowledge, practical and study skills and work experience to progress onto the Health T-Level. This post is part-time, although full-time may also be considered for the right candidate.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Recent experience of working in the Health and Social Care sector
  • Health, Psychology or Social Care-related qualification at minimum Level 4 (Level 5 - new standards)
  • English and Maths - must be qualified to a minimum of Level 2
  • A teaching / assessing (as appropriate) qualification or commitment to work towards.

If you are a professional from industry without a teaching qualification, we will fast-track you through a paid teaching qualification and provide a reduced timetable to allow you to complete it.

In collaboration with the Manchester University NHS Trust, we are successfully delivering our growing T-Level Health and Science Course in Assisting Adult Nursing.
