Boden Group Have partnered with a truly inspiring and unique organisation to help source a Facilities Coordinator to be based in their Cambridge office.

This Business is a research and development company that works with leading organisations to discover ground-breaking research every day.

This position is ideal for someone at the start of their facilities career that wants to learn, develop, and upskill their career or even kick start it for someone with the right attitude.

More about the role

Your main purpose will be to support the Estates Management and Facilities Team in the day to day operational, statutory, and service requirements to meet the objectives across the site.

You will be involved in and have exposure to areas across: Health and Safety, Fire Management, Environmental and Waste Management, Managing the workspaces, Managing the small reception and supporting the FM team across their wider objectives. This truly is a great chance for someone to get a brilliant grounding in FM.

While experience of working within Facilities and Estates is not essential some experience and understanding would be welcomed.
What we are looking for in an applicant

While there are some key areas of experience which would be great for someone to bring with them, the key thing is attitude and willingness to learn. Some level and experience of facilities and estates would also be brilliant even if that s purely from either an admin perspective or a hands on/maintenance perspective.
Key areas for us would be:

Knowledge of workplace services / facilities and the estates environment

Have developing knowledge of multi-disciplinary / legislative buildings requirements
Ability to read, interpret and understand building layout drawings - Management of a small team - Essential Basic handyperson skills
Manual Handling awareness and capability
Some understand of Health & Safety principles and the basic requirements
Good interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to communicate information to a wide range of individuals and groups both orally and in written form
Numerically literate
Experience in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programmes
Pre-Planned Maintenance systems (desirable)
A clear understanding of when assistance / confirmation with decision-making should be sought - Essential
Should be enthusiastic about tackling a range of problems and determined to provide satisfactory solutions
Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities
Can identify key issues that need to be addressed to achieve objectives and how to tackle them
