Governance Officer
Our client; a Law Enforcement organisation based in Central London is currently recruiting for a Governance Officer, pay GBP16.84ph, Start: ASAP pending a security clearance which can take up to 4 weeks. Duration of the role; 3 months, our client is recruiting for this role on a permanent basis and the successful candidate has the opportunity to apply, hours Mon-Fri 36 hours per week, this position is a hybrid working role and the location of the office is the Embankment area.
Key responsibilities;
Providing efficient and effective secretariat support to the top tier of organisational committees
Creating a rolling twelve month Forward Look of both internal and external committee dates
Creating a Forward Look of Committee items for discussion throughout the year
Arranging and manage all logistical matters related to committee meetings
Developing effective relationships with the chairs and committee member
Drafting submissions and papers for and on behalf of senior managers relating to governance issues
Reviewing regularly and updating as necessary the corporate governance policies, manuals and guidance, and developing new documentation as required
Liaising appropriately with Heads of Division, and other senior staff and colleagues where necessary, on ad-hoc requests for information, advice and assistance
Working flexibly and collaboratively in support of the Unit's objectives.Skills/Experience
