Interaction Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a growing family run logistics organisation based on the outskirts of Peterborough.
My client is seeking an enthusiastic Transport Advisor to join their dynamic team on a full-time permanent basis.
LOCATION: OUTSKIRTS OF PETERBOROUGH
SALARY: OPEN FOR NEGOTIATION
WORKING HOURS: MONDAY TO FRIDAY 8:00AM - 5:30PM (1 HOUR LUNCH BREAK)
Key Responsibilities:
Booking and updating deliveries onto internal systems
Routing fleet vehicles around the UK to various depots and destinations
Ensuring that deliveries are made on time
Liaising with customers and drivers to make sure that deliveries are made on time and in accordance with expectations
Liaising with various depots to find out regular updates
Collate defects and rectification spreadsheets
Instruct and advise drivers on defect reporting
Managing work flows and monitoring updates
This role would suit someone that has worked in a busy office managing multiple deadlines in a high pressured environment.
The Person:
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Experience within the transport/haulage industry (Desirable)
Ability to remain calm in high pressured environment
Ability to have tough conversations when needed
Ability to build and maintain relationships
Logical and methodical with a high attention to detail
Computer literate
