Accounts Assistant / General Administrator - GBP18,600 (pro rata) - Lancaster
The Role
Do you possess previous purchase ledger/ general booking experience? Are you familiar with Sage Accounts and organised with good communication and IT skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
We are a specialty coffee roaster and tea merchant, looking to appoint an Accounts Assistant/ General Administrator to our small, friendly team.
The position is part-time initially, learning the roles of other staff but it is possible that the position will become full time so the flexibility to be available to grow with this job is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of an Accounts Assistant/ General Administrator include, but are not limited to:
- Purchase ledger
- General bookkeeping
- Bank payments
- Bank reconciliations
- Customer payments & statements
- Cash flow projections (using established systems)
- You will also be involved with general business administration duties such as submitting utility meter readings, licensing, submitting official surveys.

The Person
The key skills and qualities of an Accounts Assistant/ General Administrator:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE's (A-C Maths & English essential)
- AAT and experience of using cloud-based software desirable.
- Successful candidates must have organisational, communication and I.T. skills.
- You should be driven, professional, punctual, loyal, work to tight deadlines, flexible and pro-active.
