My client has a boutique law firm culture despite its mid-level size and is hoping to attract an experienced Corporate Law Legal Secretary to work at Partner level within the Corporate Team.
You will be a true professional and act as gatekeeper for your team, handling all incoming client calls. You will take full ownership of all diaries, booking and managing all appointments, meetings and related travel needs (collaboration is key here as you work closely with your team to ensure that all schedules run smoothly and that they are where they need to be, when they need to be there). You will print off all client notes for the Partners prior to each meeting and make sure they get into the cab you have booked to be sent on their way in plenty of time for their scheduled meetings. From that paragraph alone, you may have guessed that it s very much a case of keeping tabs your team - proactivity is a must and that is exactly what the team look for in their EA.
You will arrange all travel requirements for the team, gaining a keen understanding each Partner s personal travel preferences, managing all arrangements (including journey details, accommodation, Visa requirements, currency) and provide a detailed travel itinerary. With four e-mail inboxes/dairies to manage and constantly changing travel requests, things can get complex but it s the complexity of a role such as this that is often the most rewarding. One thing is for sure, this is the type of role that has you finishing at the end of each day feeling that you really achieved something, that you really made a difference - and that is what adds true value to your CV.
Other duties include billing, assisting with BD and Marketing for the team and plenty of ad hoc to round things off.
To qualify, all you need is 3 + years Corporate Law experience at Partner level within a City law firm and be polished, professional and conscientious.
