Job Title: Assistant Estimator

Location: Loughborough

Salary: GBP25k - GBP35k per annum DOE

Job type: Full Time - Permanent. (Flexible hours and days)

Danaher & Walsh was established in 1969 by Vera Danaher, the late Daniel Danaher Senior, Thomas and Michael Walsh as a contracting and plant hire business based in Leicester.

The Role/Candidate:

We are looking for an exceptional Assistant Estimator to join our team and to bring their high quality and work ethic to our growing company.

About the role:

Assistant Estimators are responsible for assisting estimators in the preparing estimates. Key areas will be compiling enquiries, engaging with supply chain, setting up estimates on Causeway, measurement and use of methods of measurement, Using Bluebeam, maintaining records on SharePoint

General:

• Assist with achieving Company targets and objectives whenever possible.
• Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
• Ensure compliance with Danaher & Walsh company procedures and policies at all times.
• Any other duties as and when required within the scope of the role.

Experience;

• Engineering Contracting industry some
• Demonstrable experience particularly Civil Engineering
• Commercial awareness
• General It Skills
• knowledge of CDM regulations

Skills & Qualifications;

• Knowledge of Construction scheme
• Knowledge and understanding construction commercially
• An understanding of Highways works
• IT Literate minimum: Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and ideally MS Project
• HND/HNC in Civil Engineering Quantity Surveying, or Construction Management
• Member of a recognised professional organisation related to Civil Engineering or working towards membership (Desirable)
• CSCS card holder
• Valid driver's licence and able to drive.
