Reed HR are incredibly pleased to be assisting a long standing Thame based client, in their search for a Senior HR Advisor to join them on a fixed term contract basis, covering a period of Maternity Leave.

You'll be joining a thriving family owned business, who's presence reaches across the UK, providing a high quality service to a wide range of clients. With a varied and diverse workforce, the Senior HR Advisor will take on a true generalist role, becoming involved in an array of HR matters, working directly in partnership with the HR Director.

The Senior HR Advisor role is a varied and interesting generalist position which will oversee this small HR function and report directly to the Director of HR. You will work closely with and work as a number two to the HR Director, becoming the main point of contact for HR in their absence. You'll ensure the day to day running operational functionality of the department is as it should be.

You will be responsible for a wide range of employee relations matters, taking the lead in investigating and resolving any day to day queries, including absence management, conduct and capability. You'll also be responsible for the management of TUPE procedures, grievances and structural change matters.

You will be responsible for the following:

- Overseeing the day to day running of the HR function, supervising the HR Advisor and HR Administrator- Guiding line managers through employee relations cases, steering them in the appropriate direction, whilst staying within employment law, company policy and best practices- Management of case files including disciplinary, grievance and long term absence, eligibility to work and parental leave- Supporting line managers with effective and efficient performance management techniques, guiding them through the performance appraisal process- Supporting the TUPE process, ensuring compliance to TUPE legislation- Prepare and issue contractual documentation for new starters, terminations and variation of employment- In conjunction with the Training Manager, support the delivery of in-house training workshops on HR related areas

Ideally you will have worked within a varied generalist HR position previously, and have experience of managing a wide range of employee relations matters including absence management, performance management, disciplinaries, and grievances.

You'll ideally be a minimum of CIPD Level 5 Qualified or CIPD Level 7 Qualified. This organisation are a leader in their market, they have c.2,000 staff in total, with their Head Office function based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

Please note this is a 100% office based position, working hours are 08.30 - 17.00, Monday - Friday, with 20 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays, which rises by 1 day each year, to a maximum of 25 days.

Candidates will be happy to commit to a Fixed Term Contract which will run to October 2023, the salary on offer for this role is c.GBP40,000 per annum, with a bonus applicable upon the completion of the contract. This will be discussed at application stage.
