We are pleased to be working with an established and well-known company based in Southampton which is looking for a Payroll Specialist to join their friendly team for a 6-month fixed term contract.
As a Payroll Specialist, you'll be partnering and supporting the Payroll Team to help them build and develop an exceptional service to their employees.
Main duties of the Payroll Specialist
Support the Payroll Team in processing the end-to-end payroll for all employees and ensuring accurate payments
Assist in the development, management and maintenance of the payroll system
Maintain accurate records of additions and deductions to the payroll, notifying external parties as required
Ensure all requests for payroll changes are authorised recorded accurately before approving the payroll to be paid
Deal with any pay queries in a timely supportive manner and provide high level advice and guidance on all matters relating to payroll
Liaise with the Finance Team in relation to the processing of payrolls and the collation of payroll information for audit purposes
Administrative support and other payroll related duties as required
Key Competencies of the Payroll Specialist
Previous experience of working as a payroll professional completing end to end payroll
Experience working across HR and Payroll platforms
Working knowledge of Google Docs, Excel and Outlook
Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to organise and analyse data.
Excellent organisation and administration skills
Great communication skills, both verbal and written
An excellent team player but also able to use initiative and work alone
Have a flexible approach to the changing demands
The Payroll Specialist role will pay a competitive salary of GBP28K per annum and the hours for this role are Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:30. Due to the company s location you will need to drive, and on-site free parking is provided alongside many other benefits!
