If you are passionate about animals, enjoy driving and have exceptional time management skills then we have a great role for you!

We are looking for a people and animal-centric Logistics driver to join our team. The role will be Home Based (we will provide your fleet vehicle) but you will need to be based in the area of Oxford/Northampton to assist our Inspectorate teams with animal collection and delivery.

You will be transporting animals from/between Animal Centres, private boarding establishments, Hospitals and private veterinary surgeries as directed by the Animal Logistics Coordinators.

You will need to be comfortable handling animals - don t worry we do provide full training!

Here s a snapshot of some of the key work you ll be doing:

Taking direction from the Animal Logistics Coordinators to prioritise, plan the logistics and carry out the transportation of animals

Checking accompanying paperwork to ensure continuity and accuracy

To produce and submit accurate written records of work done, including mileage returns

Attend and assist on Inspectorate raids/warrants including associated Police briefings. Secure and transport animals to veterinary surgeries ensuring welfare and integrity of evidence

Release rehabilitated wildlife in conjunction with RSPCA wildlife hospitals: requiring flexibility to accommodate night releases . - is there anything more rewarding?

To work with the RSPCA s Fleet Department to ensure the vehicle supplied for this role is maintained in a roadworthy condition. Cleaning and disinfecting vehicle to ensure integrity internally and preserve hygiene levels that are adequate to prevent cross-infection

Full and valid driving license (Manual)

Great communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly - we love a cheery nature!

Happy to work independently and also happy to work as part of a team

Flexibility and patience - traffic can be unreliable

Forward thinking with the ability to effectively plan and prioritise your workload

A confident and sympathetic attitude towards animals and the general public - someone who is customer focussed and, above all, kind!

Problem solving skills - you will be out on the road on your own for long periods throughout the day so ability to think on your feet really does help

Happy to undertake administrative work, and maintain your vehicle as required
