Training Area Operative
Landmarc Support Services is currently seeking to recruit a Training Area Operative at Westdown Camp.
As the Training Area Operative, you will play a key part in helping to maintain and patrol a safe, efficient and sustainable place for our Armed Forces to train, this pivotal role is essential to the delivery of the contract.
We are looking for someone who either has previous knowledge of working on the Defence Training estate or someone who is keen to learn new skills and bring an enthusiastic willingness to learn, Landmarc will provide full training for the successful applicant.
Please see below a list of duties that will be included in your role as the Training Area Operative - full training will be provided for all these skills.
Map reading
4x4 LANTRA Off-road not essential as training will be provided.
Preventative maintenance
Driving and operating vehicles
Use both IT and paper based systems to complete any relevant documentation
Liaise with stakeholders
Be able to navigate in the day, during the night and in all weathers.
What you can do
Knowledge in Health and Safety
Have a full driver s license valid in the United Kingdom (essential)
Basic IT skills
Ability to work un sociable hours
Experience with fencing and arborial skills advantageous but not essential
Working in a rural environment
Work as part of a team or lone working
Good communication skills by radio, telephone and vice
