HR Advisor

A vital HR Advisor position is now available with Bury Council on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract.

This role is available on a remote or hybrid basis.

What is the role?

Bury Council are now looking to appoint an experienced HR Advisor to provide support to the wider HR Policy and Corporate function.

This HR team are at the heart of enabling the Council to attract, retain, engage and develop the right people to deliver on their long term 2030 vision.

The team are progressing through their own improvement journey to transform and modernise. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work as a part of a team establishing a best-in-class HR function.

How will you do this?

• Provide specialist advise regarding complex HR matters and terms and conditions of employment

• Lead on agency worker recruitment processes, monitoring spend, supporting executive recruitment campaigns and assisting job evaluation processes.

• Support a HR Policy review process and contribute to policy writing.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Experience of recruitment and HR functions within a large organisation would be beneficial.

• Strong working knowledge of employment policies, conditions and experience of job evaluations.

• Ability write HR policy and experience of policy review.
