Design Technician

Key base: The Newbridge School with the flexibility to work in other schools within the MAT as required.

Term-time

35 hours per week, 40 weeks per year

Grade 6 - £20,046 - £20,448

(FTE 82.6% - Actual annual gross salary £16,557 - £16,890)

We are seeking an enthusiastic, well organised and highly motivated individual to take on the role of Art, Design & Technology Technician at The Newbridge School.

The successful candidate will need experience of working with a variety of materials in workshop and classroom environments, using appropriate resources, equipment and machinery. Previous experience in a resistant materials or engineering background would be desirable, but not essential.

The role involves working across the whole Art & Design Faculty so applicants should be flexible, enjoy a varied day and be able to support all aspects of an Art, Design, Food and Technology department. They also need to have a good rapport with young people.

The successful candidate will:

  • is proficient in the use of IT solutions, including Microsoft Office suite and other subject specific software solutions
