A confident, personable and customer focused Store Layout Planner is required to join a impressive creative business with a fabulous selection of 'A-list' retail clients. The role is based in Baldock and will involve providing professional, friendly, and innovative store layout plans for one of the organisations largest blue-chip clients.

You will be reporting directly with the businesses Technical Design Manager and will work alongside the clients design team to create bespoke store layout plans. These plans will form part of a new store layout pack and will be used by the organisation to support the businesses installation projects.

If you have experience of working within a design type of role, maybe you are a kitchen or retail merchandise planner. Alternatively, you may have just completed a degree or collage course in interior design or engineering, and you have great attention to detail and the ability to deliver excellent customer service. This could be a great role for you.

As the Store Layout Planner you will be responsible for:

Taking ownership of the store planning process
Taking briefs directly from the client from a whole range of markets and building store layout plans using SketchUp
The production of approval documents for your clients
The production of project 'Bills of Material' (BOMs) for each project installation program
Working with external and internal stakeholders including projects managers and clients to ensure all plans are fully approved and understood
Drive ideas, suggestions and innovations to improve process, designs and revenue

The ideal Store Layout Planner candidate will need:

Experience within a similar role would be preferable but not essential
Experience of using CAD or SketchUp would be preferred but not essential as full training will be provided
Positive approach to problem solving / lateral thinking - can do attitude.
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in all of their work
To be able to multitask and hit deadlines
The ability to work flexible hours if required.
Additional foreign language skills would be beneficial but not essential

Working Monday to Friday from 8:30 to 5:00, you can expect to receive a salary of up to GBP21,000 depending upon experience (they may pay more for the right candidate). Plus, a benefits package which includes 1 x death in service benefit, company pension and annual 10% bonus based on profit.
