Belmont Recruitment currently have an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Housing Advisor to join Northeast Lincolnshire City Council on an initial 3 month contract. This is a full time contract, working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Main Responsibilities:
Acknowledge, respond, and manage all new homelessness and housing advice enquiries
Carry out an initial assessment for each customer s needs
Establish and obtain as much information and documentation as possible to verify the information that has been gathered.
Carry out casework and homelessness prevention
Experience:
Working knowledge of relevant housing legislation and case law
Knowledge of housing options in Northeast Lincolnshire
Experience of working with homeless people or rough sleepers, including vulnerable adults.
Skills needed:
Organisational skills
Interviewing techniques
Negotiating skills
Problem solving skills
Report writing
