About the Role

Responsible for the site supervision of field operatives (direct labour and sub contract) to ensure that all Client orders are delivered to time, in a safe and compliant manner, ensuring all contractual processes, procedures and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

As Civils Supervisor you will reporting to a Civils/ Build Manager, responsible for overseeing all civils activities relating to fibre build programme.

Other responsibilities will include:

Liaising with Highways Authority, Police and Local Authorities
Client liaison - joint audit/FSVA.
As-Built verification and submission
CCH/SSWR/Damages - escalation and ensuring compliance to contractual clearance timescales
Ensure compliance to all quality and safety standards via in-progress and retro checking regime.
Read and interpret client network schematics
In field coaching and identification of operative training and accreditation requirements
Ensuring operatives have correct accreditation's
Responsible for stores and materials

Skills and experience required:

Essential:

Good people management skills
Good understanding of legislation affecting the companies activities in the highway.
Ability to liaise effectively with Client Management teams, Street works and planning representatives.
Ability to liaise effectively with Highways representatives.
Awareness and understanding of the Communications Network Installation Specifications
NRSWA - Current qualification to supervisor standard.

Desirable:

Experience in all workstreams on the BT Openreach Network.
Relevant Openreach Civils accreditations
COSHH/RIDDOR/Health &Safety at Work - Knowledge of regulations and requirements
