Carpenter
Location: You will be permanently working from HMP Littlehey, PE28 0SR
Salary: GBP27K - GBP31.5K per annum, DOE
Contract: Full time, Permanent
About You:
Are you a quality-driven Carpenter or Joiner from a maintenance or construction background who is looking for a role that you can really get your saw teeth stuck into?
Could you apply your skills and expertise in an ever-changing environment where a mixture of reactive and planned maintenance means you need to think on your feet?
If you're ready for your new challenge, quick to learn, enthusiastic and willing to share your skills and experience and contribute, we want to hear from you.
We provide critical and time-bound services to the Ministry of Justice and are looking for facilities management professionals that can make a difference to the sites and the people we are responsible for.
We're four years young and growing in the provision of our onsite solutions to the prison service and want applicants with:
* A formal qualification such as NVQ or City and Guilds of least at level 2, or considerable work-based experience with knowledge of current best practices and material, tool, and equipment safety standards
* Knowledge of routine preventative maintenance and an ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities when reactive maintenance is required
* An enjoyment for team and collaborative working
* An honest, reliable, and robust character
