An exciting opportunity has arisen for an internal candidate to join our highly successful Plan Managers division, responsible for providing administrative services to our employee share plan clients and to their plan participants. Our Implementation team is responsible for the onboarding of share plans for both new and existing clients.
The Project Management Team Lead manages the Project Management team at the EMEA regional level to deliver projects that onboard new employee share plans within agreed timeframes and quality standards in accordance with client expectations, project management process and regulatory guidelines.
The Project Management Team Lead is expected to work collaboratively with external clients and across teams within Computershare (both regionally and globally), supporting continuous improvement activity related to the role.
The team consists of Project Managers who lead the delivery of onboarding projects and a Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO provides assurance, support and data driven management information.
The role
Reporting into the Head of Project Management, the successful candidate will have oversite of a portfolio of projects and will be responsible for inspiring, mentoring and leading the team who deliver and support client facing projects.
Forming part of the Plans Implementation Leadership Team, you will manage a highly capable team of 11 Project Managers and Project Support Analysts (within the PMO) to ensure on-time delivery and in line with customer expectations. Holding accountability for ensuring the correct project governance and Computershare project management methodology is appropriately applied throughout the team.
The role requires effective project scheduling and allocation of resource, inline with the demand prioritisation process, ensuring the team is utilised to its full capacity, including the co-ordination of supporting activities undertaken by other internal Computershare stakeholders and ensuring we are operating within the legal and regulatory framework.
Other responsibilities
Ensuring team goals are set in line with business strategy and are continuously monitored
Collaborate with peers to continually develop the project management methodology in line with Global Portfolio Management guidelines
Define, implement and monitor service levels, with corrective action taken as necessary
Apply an appropriate level of quality assurance and risk management to the portfolio of projects to ensure they deliver to the business requirements and agreed benefits
Provide expert advice and thought leadership in field of specialism to internal and external stakeholders
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, to drive efficiencies and customer service.
Provide data driven insights on a range of measures to senior stakeholders, identifying trends and recommend solutions to stakeholders using project data analytics
Build and maintain networks internally and externally to gain insight in area of specialism and keep abreast of industry trends. Anticipates business challenges and make recommendations to mitigate risk
Our Ideal Candidate
As an experienced candidate you ll have strong relationship management knowledge ideally from a financial services or similar background. As well as having a great internal network that you can develop further to allow effective relationships across a variety of different audiences, you ll be an excellent and confident communicator with the ability to overcome challenges, influence and hold effective negotiation with senior stakeholders to ensure solutions. Tailoring your communication style to suit different levels and types of audience is key to assuring you articulate information clearly and concisely when in meetings, workshops and presentations.
Having a well-established proven track record of managing, leading, and delivering large complex projects or programs into an operational environment within the within the Financial Services Industry would be hugely beneficial. Able to produce high quality written documentation including reports and project plans, you ll also analyse complex requirements, risks and issues whilst maintaining quality through strong attention to detail. Commercial awareness and understanding of benefit realisation, whilst able to prioritise based on benefits.
You will be resilient with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a positive and forward-thinking approach, demonstrating high levels of attention to detail resulting in an excellent quality of work.
Any formal project management, PRINCE2, APM, PMQ or equivalent qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
