Job Title - Multiskilled Maintenance Technician - Electrical Bias
Location of work - Chester
Responsible to - Engineering Manager
Purpose of the role
Maintenance and fault diagnostics of manufacturing equipment and associated plant. The successful candidate will have electrical systems maintenance knowledge that extends to fault diagnosis and rectification. This role will not only be in the front line defence of maintaining the company s production effectiveness but will also work on planned improvements to plant, equipment and new projects.

KEY INFORMATION
Reason for vacancy - Continued growth
Contract - Permanent
Basic pay - GBP36,000 annually
Shifts - Monday to Thursday 7am-4.30pm, Fridays 7am-11.00pm, 40 hours per week
Holidays - 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays

RESPONSIBILITIES
The role
Our client is looking for Multiskilled Maintenance Technicians with electrical bias to join their existing team on permanent contract at their HQ site in Chester. The responsibilities of this position are varied but not limited to -
Maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment
Breakdown response and efficient rectification
Fault diagnosis and rectification of electrical and mechanical systems involving PLC control
Achieve team and individual targets
Complete and control all necessary documentation around engineering activities
Achieve all activities in line with company regulations and health & safety guidelines
Planned preventative maintenance
Assist with driving continuous improvement and lean activities
Key Skills Required
City & Guilds/ONC in Electrical Engineering
Time served electrical engineer
HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering - desirable
5 years + relevant experience post apprenticeship
Ability to read Electrical & Engineering drawings
Ability to fault find - good working knowledge of electrical and mechanical drive systems, pneumatic and hydraulic control systems
Working knowledge of modern AC & DC drive systems through to standard large motor starting systems
Fault finding diagnostics - electrical and mechanical
Good working knowledge of PLC s, pneumatics, hydraulics, variable speed drives (AC/DC)
Excellent electrical fault-finding skills
