Variable hours as and when required

You will contribute to ensuring a positive learning environment which encourages active participation and enables all learners to achieve their full potential, through the effective learning and teaching of students by assisting in the development, delivery and assessment of relevant resources.

 

This will involve supporting the Curriculum Manager in the delivery of the department curriculum to the quality and standards required, through an integrated learning experience that supports the student journey, delivering first class and high-quality learning and teaching experiences.

 

You will teach in the areas of Plumbing, Gas & Renewables and will deliver on courses from SCQF Level 5 to 7. The suitable applicant should hold up to date knowledge of plumbing, gas & renewables techniques and have a working knowledge of Microsoft Offices packages. It would also be advantageous if the applicant had some prior experience in the on-site training or overseeing of trade operatives.

 

You will have a qualification to HNC level or equivalent in a related subject area relevant to the skill area with relevant industry experience. You will have excellent motivational, communication and organisational skills. It is also desirable, but not essential, that you hold, or are working towards, a professional teaching qualification.
