Senior Buyer/Planner (2 year contract)

We are looking to speak with experienced Supply Chain Professionals about this great new job opportunity in Galway with one of our exceptional, industry leading clients. Our client, a world leading medical device company, are looking to attract a Senior Buyer/Planner to join the company and lead a team of buyer/planners on a 2 year contract basis.

Responsibilities:
Supporting product development, may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Procurement and scheduling of components in line with demand requirements to support both product development and operations.
Identify and working with the team on last time buys, setting up costing on SAP.
Completing relevant documentation in line material and quality requirements.
Work with suppliers and internal teams to expedite materials in line with program needs.
Compiles information to keep informed on price trends and manufacturing processes.
Monitor performance of suppliers and collaborate on demand analysis planning:
The job is an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty.
Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
Most of the time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University)Differentiating Factors:

Will be responsible for the material and supplier part of the project.

Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have practical knowledge of project management.
Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
