Activate Learning are now looking to recruit enthusiastic and proactive front-line support for our Learning Environment users, with responsibility for the day-to-day operational management of library environments.

In this role, no two days are the same - from delivering a library induction, supporting our students with developing their digital competencies, collection management or contributing to library initiatives, project work and the development of our online learning resources.

As part of the Digital Education Services team, you will also be expected to promote Activate Learning's Digital Strategy to all Learning Environment stakeholders. As such, you will need to possess a demonstrative enthusiasm for digital learning.

The postholder would be based onsite at our Merrist Wood College in Worplesdon, Guildford.

We are looking to speak to individuals who can support our Learning Environment on a permanent, part time basis of 25 hours per week. Please detail your availability and what hours you would be able to offer on the cover letter/personal statement section of your application form.

What do you need to be successful?

You will have experience in a customer service environment, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to demonstrate effective professional relationships with colleagues, learners and the wider community. A flexible and team-based approach is essential, as is a firm, pragmatic and student-centred approach to behaviour management.

You will have strong IT skills and be enthusiastic about the opportunity to apply learning technologies to the development of new and novel approaches to the provision of academic skills support in an increasingly digital student environment.

What are the benefits of this role?

You will have access to a number of learning and development opportunities, including but not limited to: Apprenticeship in Customer Service, development of skills with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, among other opportunities.

There really is no limit in terms of your personal growth, development and career by joining one of the largest Education Providers in the UK. You will have a comprehensive development program as part of induction together with peer to peer learning, a formal development plan and support at every step of the way to set you up for success.

We offer a buddy system, a digital induction module and a close-knit community of experts and leaders across the Group to support the sharing of best practice and encourage individual growth.
