On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their organisation on a permanent basis, role based in Cheshire.Ideal candidates will have good experience relating to Automation/PLC within FMCG environment and will look after range of Process and Utilities (Refrigeration, Effluent treatment, Boilers & Water treatment assets).Main purpose of job:To troubleshoot, maintain the Process / Utilities equipment. To update the Filling Hall Process plant SCADA system. To understand the functionality of the PCS7 system, in conjunction with the main contracted provider. To ensure the Process and Utilities equipment operate efficiently and consistently deliver to the filling lines. To ensure preventative maintenance activities are kept up to date against schedule. Assist in running projects within the Beverages plant as and when required.Reporting to: Plant Engineering ManagerResponsibilities:Understand and comply with all relevant safety / environmental procedures and regulationsSupport or lead troubleshooting of plant / process problems.Continuously improve plant performance.Have working understanding of utilities, process automation, process equipment and instrumentation.Supporting the production teams with day to day maintenance issues.Respond to breakdowns immediately, working independently to resolve the immediate fault - further to this identifying the underlying cause and implement a permanent resolution.Make required changes to the process system as instructed by manager.Operate to the required standards in all areas i.e. preparation of bulk product, filtration.Keep all calibration / service records up to dateLiaise with contractors to ensure all service contracts are completedIssue Permit to work for contractors on siteAttend training courses and meetings as requiredEnsure all work areas and equipment within your control are cleaned regularly and properly maintained to deliver optimum performance.Identify & implement opportunities for improvement in the plantEssential Skills & Experience:Time served Multi-Skilled Engineer with HNC or equivalentAutomation and PLC experience -S7 / PCS7Supervisory experience Experience in high-speed beverages production - preferredProject Management experience - desirableAbility to read and follow technical drawings.Experience working on Utilities plants including Refrigeration, Effluent treatment, Boilers & Water treatment.Chemical handling and awareness.Hours of Work:Working hours: Mon-Thurs 8-5 Fri 8-2.30 Please apply online with up to date CV.Spring Engineering Solutions (a trading name of Roevin Management Services Limited) acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
