An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Buying and Procurement Manager to join a company as they expand their services and products. Our client prides itself on its bespoke, customer-focussed approach throughout the entire process and is looking for a like-minded individual to join its team.
Job Description:
The Buying and Procurement Manager is responsible for planning and organising the company s procurement strategy, ensuring the overall performance of the supply chain is optimised
Ensure on time and in full supply of materials/consumables/stock to support installation department, in line with customer expectations
Continual improvement of the supply base, with increased service levels as well as cost base reduction
The Buying and Procurement Manager will negotiate with suppliers on cost, quality and credit terms
Understand and be proficient with key drawings, survey reports and measurements for bespoke projects
Analyse in-house production costs versus external supply to cater to capacities and costs
Continually working on process improvement and cost reduction
Responsible for stock quantity and values, with re-order and inventory management
The Buying and Procurement Manager will assist with new product and supplier launch as and when required
Will manage and assist in raising purchase orders as well as reviewing completeness of job file to ensure all parts are ordered and delivered on time Candidate Requirements:
Previous success within a buyer/procurement role, ideally with a history/background in home improvements/construction sectors
Highly numerate
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Proficient in CRM packages
Ability to read surveyor reports, drawings and sales contract files
Ability to communicate and operate with cross-functional departments
Understanding the full supply chain as well as the importance of delivering to the operational heads to deliver installations to the customer
Experience in supply chain relationship management
Appreciation of environmental responsibility, as well as sustainability throughout the supply chain Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
