In-House Solicitor (NQ - 1 year PQE)
Junior In-House Solicitor (NQ - 1 year PQE) opportunity has arisen in the Cambridge region with remote or hybrid working arrangements on offer.
The Company
Our client is an innovative Legal Services provider aimed at changing the way that in house corporate legal teams consume and utilise legal services. The aim is to affect this through the development of streamlined, easily accessible and usable services and solutions. Our client provides: (i) day to day legal support to in house teams, across commercial, corporate, IP and non-contentious employment; (ii) outsourced legal services (BPO), an initial example being a partnership with global CLM provider to offer clients a managed outsourced contracting solution; and (iii) project management support for strategic projects, including corporate group re-organisations and reconciliation projects (i.e. contract reconciliation for DP/Cyber updates).
The Role
A commercially focused Junior Solicitor is required with a commercial background (from a Private Practice or In-House sector), to work with the In-House Legal Directors on legal services for corporate legal teams The role will be varied, handling commercial contracts, compliance, IP, GDPR, Cyber Security and oversight/management of legal outsourcing and project management activities. Candidates should also have a desire to consider, develop and provide new and innovative solutions to clients, which may be process driven, access driven or full end-to-end solutions, in each case aimed at increasing efficiency for corporate legal teams.
Candidate Requirements
NQ - 1 year qualified (or soon to be qualified) Solicitor with experience of general commercial contracts
Ideally have a background in the Technology, IT, Finance, Pharma, Gaming or Engineering sectors
Comprehensive experience of general commercial contracts
Exposure within compliance, IP, GDPR and cyber security would be a bonus
Excellent administrative skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ideally some experience in use of legal technologies, or research into use of legal technologies, for corporate legal teams.Salary at GBP50,000.00 - GBP60,000.00 per annum plus benefits with remote and hybrid working on offer.
