Job Description:
Role Profile: As an Apprentice Inspector you will predominantly be involved in the Non Destructive Examination (NDE) of complex machined components, as well as the dimensional inspection of these parts.
You will be required to undergo training to gain qualification in various aspects of NDE, including Hardness checking & Ultrasonic examination of raw materials, as well as Magnetic & Liquid particle inspection of finish machined components.

What Does The Apprenticeship Involve?

• A 4 year apprenticeship to become qualified with an HNC In Mechanical Engineering.
• You will spend the first year at Angus Training Group learning the fundamentals of manufacturing, including machining, assembling and inspection.
• You will then begin work in the Halliburton manufacturing facility and receive training on the various NDE techniques to subsequently gain full qualification to perform this role
• You will also learn to use a range of measuring equipment to allow you to measure the components being manufactured to ensure that they meet the design specifications.
• You will be responsible for health and safety in your own work area as well as having
  responsibility for the cleanliness and housekeeping within your work area ensuring suitability for the manufacture of high value products for Completion products for the Oil Industry.

Qualifications required

• NAT 4 or higher in Maths/English and a Technical based subject
