This Varied and interesting HR Officer role is based in Cambridge offering flexible and hybrid working from home 50% of the working week in this friendly and supportive human resources and personnel focused role

Client Details

My client are a prestigious organisation with a great international footprint and supportive management team based out of their Central Cambridge offices. The human resources and personnel function has an experienced HR Manager who is looking to mentor the right individual with some prior HR exposure into this HR Officer position

Description

This is a varied and generalist HR Officer role, reporting into the HR Manager, where you will be involved in everything from recruitment and looking after new starters, including onboarding and preparing inductions, as well as the leaver process, to amending contracts, updating personnel files (both online and paper) and being the first point of contact for all HR queries.

General HR administration duties
Complete the correct documentation for starters and leavers
Assist with recruitment across the Cambridge office, updating job descriptions, advertising vacancies, arranging interviews
Manage the full recruitment process via the HR system
Draft offer letters and contract of employment
Manage the on-boarding process
Support the payroll team with data inputting
Maintain absence recordsProfile

To be the successful HR Officer candidate you will have excellent attention to detail and be highly organised with ability to prioritise a busy workload.

At least 6 months gained in a similar HR role would be advantageous but not necessary, and a CIPD qualification or working towards is desirable.
Have the ability to multitask and work on multiple projects at one time
Come with a positive attitude, be a self-starter, and proactive
Good knowledge of Excel and accurate data processingJob Offer

In return, you will receive a competitive salary of GBP25,000 - GBP27,500 depending on experience, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, annual bonus, flexible benefits to buy & sell holiday, good pension, 3x life assurance. The office has excellent transport connections but there is no parking on-site. This role is offering hybrid working with 50% of your working week spent at home for a 35 hour working week
