Assembly Operative

Our vacancy is accessible on the guided bus and walking distance to Cambridge North train station so accessible from areas outside of Cambridge - so driving is not essential!
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Cambridge Science Park, Cambridgeshire
Hours: Monday - Thursday 2:45pm - 10pm. Friday 12:20pm - 9:15pm
Salary: GBP24,366 per annum.
Benefits: 25 days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays, 4 x Life Assurance, Sick Pay Scheme after 6 months, Free Parking, Free Fruit, and Refreshments, 4% matched Pension, Team building days, 10% from rail links
Duties:
Collecting materials ready to be assembled.
Feeding the machines of raw materials (full training is provided)
Heating and straightening the material using machinery.
Operating a live flame.
Handling the products with care and attention.
Skills and Experience Required:
Attention to detail
Previous glass work would be ideal but is not essential.
Previous assembly experience.
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work repetitive tasks.
Self-organization to run multiple machines in parallel
Hard working and reliable.
