Job Title: Stores & Warehouse Supervisor

8.00 - 5.00 Monday - Thursday

8.00 -1.30 Friday

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Stores and Warehouse Supervisor will provide day to day leadership, responsibility and supervision of the
stores department and team within the site wide Supply Chain function. They will manage Stores and warehouse
facilities and staff by prioritizing the workload between Production and Customer Services as prioritized by business
needs daily. They are also expected to take ownership of health and safety, team assessment and development,
holiday, some HR issues, and resource planning for the Stores team whilst driving improvements in productivity and
safety. Key responsibilities include overall stock management, receiving and locating goods, kitting works orders,
customer order packing and dispatch of finished goods and logistical coordination activities for all site reported
inventory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Department resource management / Planning and assigning work to the stores workforce
• Maintaining stock locations and stock accuracy, to include FIFO practices, Stock disposal activities,
Kanbans and all stock movement related activities
• Stores kitting activities in line with production & customer requirements
• The review of product shortages, advising Supply Chain of overdue purchase orders where required
• Unloading and loading of delivery / collection vehicles (Counter balance Forklift Truck operation),
Interacting with delivery and collection drivers
• Packing and crating of finished goods suitable for Road, Sea and Air transportation
• Working with customer services to prepare goods for dispatch, ensuring correct and proper documents
and labelling of goods is complete and accurate
• Support site customer satisfaction against delivery to due date performance to meet the needs of the
customer through efficiency
• Support driving departmental related Cost Out initiatives in conjunction with the Supply Chain &
Operations Manager
• Participate and assist in site wide company initiatives in EQS, ELSS, ISO14001, MESH, GEMA etc
• Solving day-to-day issues (specifically related to stock discrepancies)
• Good organisational skills - able to prioritise
• Numerical abilities to ensure accurate material management
• Good communicator (tiered level communication), able to develop internal relationships.
• Ability to meet deadlines - a self-starter

• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
• Proactively look to investigate / solve problems before escalation.
• Willingness to learn and take on new / additional activities as appropriate.

Record any measurable statistics which your position impacts such as production expenses, maintenance
expenses, sales volumes, payroll costs, capital expenditures, research budgets, cost of purchases, value
of inventories controlled, employees supervised (direct and indirect).

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience (required in similar role)
• Material management knowledge
• Strong organizational capabilities
• Good communication
• MRP, JIT, KanBan, EDI, SAP experience
• Transport / distribution experience
• FLT license and current validity
• Experience in using basic mathematical tools, i.e. Excel spreadsheets
• Proven Stores and Warehousing experience
