Driver CO (level D) training and vetting completed in house with Avtav at NO COST to driver.
Role - Shunter driver
Location- Colnbrook Slough
Shifts -Friday to Monday, AM and PM, FULLY FLEXIBILITY IS REQUIRED
Pay per hour:Mon - Fri GBP16.30 Days / GBP18.80 Nights
Sat - GBP17.30 Days / GBP19.80 Nights
Sun - GBP18.30 Days / GBP20.80 Nights
OT per hour paid after 40 hours: GBP24.45
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Loading and parking trailer assets; maintaining communication to the traffic office
Shunting equipment with care and attention whilst ensuring complete compliance with Safe Systems of Work
Liaising with Warehousing departments to ensure the correct equipment is positioned on and off the trailer bays, ensuring the flow is maintained
Managing the traffic flow in the yard
Managing the fleet resources in the yard including Vehicles Off Road
Accurately completing all required yard-related administrative checks i.e. fleet checks, yard checks, trailer checks, pre-op vehicle checks and equipment audits
Follow site and business Health and Safety / Safe Systems of work policies
Reporting on available and unavailable (i.e. defective) fleet assets in the yard
Maintaining the yard hygiene and risk management as necessary
Good communication skills, ability to liaise with central office where required.
Be reliable and flexible with a can-do attitudeREQUIREMENTS FOR THE ROLE
Maxim of 6 minor points no DD
Full LGV C+E licence
Have valid CPC
Good communication skills - written and verbal
The ability to demonstrate great teamwork
