Legal Secretary
The Eventus Recruitment Group are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join a successful law firm in York. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Role Responsibilities
The successful Legal Secretary will be joining the Residential Conveyancing department of this law firm, providing secretarial support to the team. Other duties include:
* Serving as the first point of contact for clients, answering client queries via both telephone and email
* Diary management
* Audio and copy typing
* Ensuring that all files are organised
* Submitting pre-exchange searches
* Familiar with ordering searches, preparing SDLT returns and Land Registry applications
Person Specification
The incoming Legal Secretary will be a self-motivated individual with the ability to provide knowledge surrounding Residential Conveyancing matters. The candidate will also be able to:
* Show a keen eye for detail
* Prioritise deadlines
* Show willingness to work independently, deal with scheduled completion, process ID and returned papers, send out contract packs.
* Prior experience as a Legal Secretary is essential, experience in residential conveyancing would be desirable.

* 20 days holiday allowance (and bank holidays) rising to 25 days after 5 years and up to 30 days following further service. The office is closed throughout the Christmas period, and you don't have to reserve holiday to cover this.
* A bonus of up to 10% of your salary is on offer, based on company performance
