This business has gone from strength to strength in the last 2 years and has acquired several business across the UK. Due to growth, they are seeking to employ a Credit Control Assistant to join their already experienced team. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and aspiring Credit Control Assistant looking for their next step in the finance industry.
Your new role as the Credit Control Assistant:
As the Credit Control Assistant, you will be responsible for collecting outstanding debts from a range of customers throughout the UK and dealing with any associated queries and disputes that may arise through this process. You will work towards targets and deadlines in order to maximise cash collections. You will accurately record all action taken on the customer s account on the credit control software, following up calls and actions as agreed with the customer, in a timely manner. In addition, you will resolve all queries and disputes with acute attention to detail, advising the Management Accountant of proposed remedy and/or resolution, ensuring a thorough and methodical investigation and a swift conclusion, i.e. ensuring the debt no longer appears on the ledger. You will carry out reconciliation of accounts to ensure statements produced are accurate and cash/credit notes are posted to invoices as per the customer s requirements. Lastly, you will have the ability to logically identify potential problem accounts, recommending accounts to be placed on stop, or to start the legal process, implementing the best approach.
Experience & Qualifications required to apply:
To be considered, you must possess at least 2 years experience in a similar role. Ideally you will have Excel and computer skills, excellent communication abilities and impeccable attention to detail skills. In addition, you will be capable of problem solving, possess analytical skills and capable of working well under pressure. You must be able to demonstrate that you are well-organised, and you're able to work to strict deadlines.
